In addition to accommodating the elderly, the Penuel Foundation also ventures into various community development services like distribution of food packets in and around Chalakkudy, construction of a house, educational support, medical support etc.
1. We distributed more than 100 food kits, to those who lost everything, during the floods in Kerala.
2. We delivered food to thirty homes because they lost their jobs and were struggling for provisions.
3. We also distribute free meals in and around Kuttikad and Chalakudy twice a week.
4. We provided financial assistance to ten needy families for medicines.
5. A house was built for a poor family at Koodapuzha.
6. A student who got full A + in 10th class, from an under-privileged family with meagre financial background is supported with an educational scholarship.
7. We also arranged necessary study materials for students from economically backward families. The Trust executed this initative with the complete support of Mr. Denny, Ward Member of Pariyaram Panchayath. Many poor students within the local Panchayath benefited from this noble venture.
8. Before the Covid-19 crisis began, Penuel Foundation invited children from Jeevadhara Orphanage to “Karuthal Veedu” as guests. The children entertained the elderly parents with their artistic talents. Both the cohorts enjoyed the experience. They were also served delicious meals along with the elderly parents. The children went back with joyful hearts.
